Getting Up to the Lodge
Once you’ve arrived in Paonia, you can make the ascent up Steven’s Gulch by vehicle in non-winter months or via tracked vehicle in winter months. Additionally, guests may choose to ride up via snowmobile when the weather and conditions permit. The Electric Mountain Lodge is one of the few backcountry lodges in the world that’s strictly ride-in and ride-out. It’s situated three miles south of the Sunlight to Powderhorn Trail (SP Trail).
