Transportation Information
From approximately late May – late October, the Lodge is accessible by standard vehicle. From approximately early November – mid-May, the Lodge is only accessible via tracked vehicle or snowmobile. The Electric Mountain Lodge is one of the few backcountry lodges in the world that’s strictly ride-in and ride-out. It’s situated three miles south of the Sunlight to Powderhorn Trail (SP Trail). Transport is available in the winter from these areas:
From the South:
Once you’ve arrived in Paonia, transport is available from Windy Point trailhead.
From the North:
If you’re coming from the Aspen area, transport is available from Muddy Creek trailhead.
